The video is really useful. I also worked on transparent mediums such as glass vases, but I never used this technique. Thank you for sharing this.

I thought you're not supposed to touch the paper because the oils will mess it up.

Blowing on the paper to remove charcoal dust? If any tiny bit of spit hits the drawing, it will leave an indelible dark spot. I'm dismayed to see that Mr Hutchison hasn't acknowledged any of the comments if only to show us that he does read them. I think it is difficult to do something AND talk about what you're doing at the same time. I would recommend filming the doing first, then writing out a text that clearly explains the action and then narrating the film later.

i would recommend understanding this is how one professional chose to represent this topic and id love to see your video telling us how to do it.

May i know how to remove the charcoal dust??
@renzo64902 жыл бұрын
@@meeyee7654 You can tap on the paper to make the dust fall. If that isn't satisfactory, go ahead and blow the dust away but be careful !!

@@renzo6490 ⚠️Never blow away pigment particles! Wear a mask to protect against breathing in unseen pigment “dust”. Protects your paper if you tap particles loose, yes, but use caution! Pastel, Conté crayon, charcoal, etc. should be used with great care to avoid breathing in toxins present in these materials. Use soft brushes to move the particles and to blend them on paper, and WASH HANDS THOROUGHLY after using. Never smoke 🚭or eat while using materials to avoid ingesting the air-born particles. Wear a mask. Regardless of product labeling that touts these are safe to use, I recommend ventilation,wearing a mask, no touching! Your lungs will thank you later!!
