How to Paint WWII Scale Model Cockpits using acrylic paints.

In this video, I demonstrate how I paint WWII scale model cockpits.
Quick notes: I meant to say the yellow color is translucent and not "Opaque".
And in Step 6: I miss typed and wrote "Stimulate" and meant simulate. I mean there are modelers who probably get stimulated while modeling. I am not kink shaming anyone haha.

Great video. I use acrylics for aircraft and miniatures. They are great paints but you need to learn how to use them. The most important thing to learn,I think, is how to thin them. Wet pallets are great once you’ve mastered thinning. They are great for mixing colours and creating glazes.

G'day, I am a refugee from Games Workshop and cannot imagine anyone using anything else other than acrylics. While I use Vallejo paints now on aircraft, my first love will always be Citadel paints. (There is surprisingly little use for Nurgle Pink inside a Spitfire!). Your Videos are terrific and your famous "Mix" a gamechanger for me. Looking forward to heaps more in 2024. I found your channel a while ago and subscribed and have been learning and enjoying your content. I found myself being put off by acrylics in the beginning because of not understanding the medium. It does get a bad rep and some people just will not take the time to master them. I had a fellow modeler in my club who gave me his whole collection of Vallejo Model Air because he was just so use to using enamels and I guess he thought he could do the same methods with acrylics. Thanks for the useful videos and I signed up on the facebook group.

Very nice. Having come back into Scale modeling after painting gaming figures, I can only remember how horrible enamel paint were in the late 70's and early 80's. I avoid them at all costs! I love my acrylics.

What were the colors you used for the cockpit ?

For the cockpit panel I used black. If you mean for the spitfire interior, I used Vallejo grey green. Hope that helps!

haha....more like this is what happens when you don't like to proof read your script. I only noticed I said opaque after I uploaded the video and the same with "stimulated"
