I'm glad it helped. I have also found that if you are using UG then switch to another app, when you switch back to UG, it doesn't recognize the Airturn. All you have to do is go back into "profile", "settings", "pedal interface", and "Air Turn Settings" and it'll start working again. I know, a bit of a pain if you switch apps often while using UG. There are several other quirks with UG.

@@MarkSwanUSA Just fyi, for some reason with IPAD open pairing, you need to specify “keyboard” before you can change the set-up. I did not to do this part when I paired it to my iPhone.

Really good video. As of April 2024, Ultimate Guitar seems to have decided to no longer support Airturn devices. Officially, UA has not announced this. However, the Airturns do not work for weeks, they do no respond to bug reports, and within the community, many report having the same experiences. It's sad, but UA's new business model apparently no longer targets gigging musicians.

Are you saying that you have tried what you see in the video, and what others have said, and you cannot get your BT-500 to work with Ultimate-Guitar? I no longer use my BT-200 with Ultimate-Guitar (now called "Ultimate Guitar: Tabs & Chords") as I use it with "OnSong" when performing. If you tell me what you’ve tried, and what is happening, I may be able to try to help.

Definitely plastic. I do not know how it might control a looper app. I only use it for controlling OnSong - no longer use UG for gigs.

It has been a while since making this video! I believe I was using mode 2. There is a long comment in this stream that talks about modes and how to use with the UG app. I use the pedal exclusively with the OnSing app now during performances.

I don't know. I know UG has continued to improve in some areas but I have stopped using it for performances.

I use OnSong and like it so much more. I used UG and other sites to find music then load into OnSong. UG appears to have better offline support but OnSong has so many more features for performance.

Question for you if you don't mind? does the ultimate guitar app search function would still work with this unit connected? I bought the starfavor brand, unfortunately, it does not work , up and down works fine but, unable to use the search function on ultimate guitar.

I did not find a way to get the virtual keyboard to come up to let me type something I wanted to search for. UG treats the pedal as a keyboard and doesn't even let you turn it off temporarily. I finally gave up on using UG for performances. I switched to OnSong and LOVE it. So many more features.

Try pressing the power button on the pedal, just once, after your cursor is in the text field.

The reason this pedal does not work properly with Ultimate Guitar (no search) is that you are using it in the wrong mode. This pedal has seven modes, and you need to set it to App Direct mode. Do NOT pair it to your iPad in the Settings- Bluetooth section. Go directly to UG and the settings area there and turn on Air Turn Support. Then click Air Direct, not Keyboard . UG will scan and find your pedal, if you have previously changed the mode in the pedal itself. Click your pedal and the UG App will directly connect, bypassing the System Bluetooth. You can then configure the options and it will work, and your Search function will also work! It has to be an Air Turn pedal however.

While you are right that with the BT-200 you can scroll up and down in the Chords Tabs as you have shown, unfortunately it doesn't work in the Pro Tabs! I guess you don't have the Pro version of Ultimate Guitar so you didn't recognize this. Anyway, I bought the BT500 and tried but it doesn't work so I will return it.
