No sound from my subwoofer even though the light was green. Tried all the fixes in the comments. My problem was the location of the sub in relation to the sound bar. Make sure it’s as close as reasonably possible and there are no obstructions between them. They have to be able to “see each other”.

For anyone with a LG DS60Q that has the sub connected but theres barely or no output from it- I solved the issue by downloading the LG Soundbar app, connected to my soundbar and found it somehow had it completely set the sub to minimum output as well as in the equaliser it was -11 db.

@David If the light is solid green that means it's connected properly. You may just need to adjust the subwoofers output. To do that you'll need to press the sound tuning button on the remote until the display on the soundbar says WF (subwoofer). Then press the up button on the directional pad to raise the sub level. If the light on the back of the sub is solid red, that means the connection was not made and you'll need to try the pairing process again. Another way to try would be to unplug both sub and soundbar from their power sources for a few minutes then plug the soundbar back in first, then the subwoofer.

Try turning volume to zero then going through this reset method. Worked for me. For some reason its easier to pair when the volume is off and from time to time just wont connect with it on. One of its quirks apparently

If only it WAS this simple. My woofer disconnects all the time. Seems to be a common problem with the LG sub. The receiver for the surround speakers is the same distance from the sound bar and never disconnects. The woofer disconnects daily. I am at the point of selling the system and buying a wired set up. @carolinasilva1564 In almost every case, the soundbar is what is feeding the sound to the subwoofer so you wouldn't be able to use the sub without the soundbar. In some cases a TV will have a subwoofer output that you can plug a standalone subwoofer into, but the subs that come with most soundbars are wireless and wouldn't work for that application.

Or 2, if the subwoofer is close to the soundbar and it's still not working try unplugging them both from the wall for a few minutes. Then plug the soundbar back in first, followed by the subwoofer. @kenross863 No, you would not need wifi to make this work. The connection between the soundbar and the subwoofer is made via bluetooth. All you'd need is to plug in both pieces to a power source.

@Luis Castillo The soundbar doesn't connect to the subwoofer with a wire. They work through bluetooth. The optical cable will go from the soundbar to your TV. Don't buy lg blueetoth sound bar. One of the worst life time experience I have been facing! It connects to woofer then works fine for a while a month later does not connect and this has been happening again and again! Indont get it what’s wrong with it and so many customers are having the same issues!

Does anybody know how to get these !@#$% things to work? What soundbar do you need? I have an LG S44A1-0 subwoofer and I have never got it to pair with my phone or anything else. I would of preferred a G.D. Wire with an industry standard speaker jack on the end of it.. I could at least plug it into a computer. Technology mega fail.
