In this video I demonstrate how to simply and easily pair a mobile phone with the Audi Concert II+ (PR-8UD) Entertainment System.
This video is applicable to Audi A3, A4 & TT manufactured from 2006 to 2013, however I am demonstrating this video specifically with 2011 (MY12) Audi A3 and a iPhone 8.

Hi, I have a problem with Bluetooth. I connected to Bluetooth on my previous phone and it worked perfectly, however I changed my phone and sold the old one. the new phone cannot find the car. I managed to find information that the module can remember up to 5 devices. Do you know how to reset it, force it to connect to a new phone?

Unfortunately not without modification as the protocol implemented at the time only supported mobile calls. To play music via bluetooth you would need to add a bluetooth adaptor to your cars entertainment system.

@@theinspireddesigner just get something like aux to bluetooth. it functions like bluetooth device is connected to your phone---> bt device is connected to aux to display sound and from aux you get music. but you do have to charge it. fortunately you can plug aux and usb into it

Hi, I suggest that you may need to do some diagnose on your car. Have you got access to VCDS or VagCom? If so, do a scan and check the status of all of the modules. If not, start by checking fuses, etc. Good luck! Cheers Drew

I reckon you need to select the car’s Bluetooth for the audio output instead of your phones speaker. For an iPhone it’s the same button as you use to put your phone on speaker phone mode! Cheers Drew

Hi Morgan, I have not actually tried this myself so I do not know 100%, however my gut feeling is that the aux connection is purely analogue audio only .... thus I suspect that you can play music via your phone to the car's audio system but control of the audio will only be from your phone and that yes, you will be able to take and receive calls via Bluetooth (integrated through your cars audio system). I don't believe google map assist will work through to your audio system. As I said in the beginning this is my guess :) Cheers Drew

Hi again Drew, My older moto g5 used to, and still can take care of all of it albeit solely through one aux cable and no use of Audi bluetooth. For my new android phone, everything worked in the way that you suspected it would, TY: Incase additional info helps another, workaround solution for me was:- Audi bluetooth: for incoming/ outgoing phonecall audio presumably utilising Audi's overhead mic's. Didn't grant permission for audi bluetooth to import contacts because using phones onboard contacts. Aux cable for phone media/ music audio. By default uses phones mic to listen for Google assistant voice commands. By default, phones speaker outputs Google assistants voice responses. Control-wise, all talks well within and outside of Google assistant, google maps, and the new Google Assistant Driving mode app, which is the phone solution or replacement to the now discontinued Android Auto app. Determined to drive my 2009 into the ground, 2022 style. Hi Mate, as per the video the Entertainment System in this car is a Concert II+. Irrespective it sounds like a fault with your Concert III Entertainment System, which I suspect you will need to take to a Dealer or some other Electronics shop to get fixed. Cheers Drew
