Have you setup two of the same speakers in your home? Once you do, the option should show.

5.1 would be super cool but if I had to guess how Google would do it right now is by using a Chromecast with Google TV or Chromecast Ultra. Connect either of those devices to a speaker group and then you would have 5.0 but Google would then need to invent a subwoofer. Google doing Dolby Atmos would be the move.

Does anyone know if Google is abandoning the Nest products? I bought a 2nd generation Nest Protect (wired) and it is not supported by Google Home or the newest Google Hubs with video. It's crazy.
