Hi, I understand your question, only I don't get it. I don't know the difference between pips or unit and risk. I mean for example I got a 1000 dollar account, and I want to risk 2 procent and mantain a 2/1 Risk Reward, that's a 5 dollar per trade. But what are the units mening then?.. pls explain ty

I don't know what I'm doing wrong here , it seems like my limit placed trades as well as my market placed trades never accurately transition to the chart. For example lets say i want to go short and my point of entry is set at $100.00 , stop loss at 50 and take profit at 150. Once i make these changes on the trade window and press sell on the chart , the price enters me already losing money or vise versa without it hitting the targeted entry i wanted to to enter the trade at. Iv tried using different size contracts, different amounts in acc balance so i know it not none of that . Does anyone here know what i can do to fix this problem . Also this was all done on a paper trading acc but i don't think that should be any different because then why have it.

Right I understand (for the most part) how to use trader view but something I’m trying to figure out is let’s say I start with a small account can you use leverage to boost your position size ? Otherwise I’d be entering trades where my take profit wouldn’t even be worth trying to attain ie around £20 or whatever hope this makes sense haha I’m quite new as you can probably tell.

Hello! Please help I want to set default setting for my stop loss to always be 1% Example, use the long/short tool to set your entry, sl and tp. Right click and put limit order, now everything you need is in there automatically EXCEPT risk. If i do FX the risk is crazy by default, like 100-1000 Etc. Please, how do i change this default? Thanks for the informative video. I'm curious as to what the pros and cons are of trading in the stock market vs forex. I've done a quick overview, but after spending several months in the stock market (majority in penny stocks) and getting a majority of my education of forex examples, I would like to see how I could do in the forex market. I like how the charts look more fluid and not as jumpy compared to penny stocks, although I still enjoy trading it. I know that there are certain concepts that can be applied across the markets, but my account for trading stocks doesn't allow me to short and I dont plan on changing it atm. Especially since we could potentially be heading into a bearish market in the near future, I'm more particularly interested in forex right now.

The forex market definitely has more liquidity but it’s decentralized, meaning that we don’t know the exact metrics of how much liquidity is present throughout it. This is also why the volume or order flow is different in Forex vs the stock market & different fundamental catalysts will affect the forex market compared to stocks. In forex, it’s the exchange rate between currencies so it mostly comes down to economic reports like unemployment, interest rate decisions, etc. Market manipulation still exists, technicals are still very similar, Although, there are a lot more shadier forex brokers, from what I’ve seen, just based on the decentralization of it all.

Hi Matt! Complete beginner with trading. Really embarrassed to be asking, but in this video you showed us that you could sell the shares, risk/reward ratio and such. Yeah it depends which market you’re trading. With stocks to sell, you buy stocks from a lender, sell them, & then buy them back at a cheaper price (if it does drop) in order to give them back at a profit. It’s a lot riskier tho because if the stock keeps rallying then u owe the difference
