Nique Lynn I did these braids yesterday using this method but I braided the natural hair down before adding the weave.. it took me less than 5 hours 🙌🏾 that was the quickest I’ve ever done them

It's hard to say without seeing your braid technique, but you may need to adjust your grip, of course without it being too tight.
