ai party is really amazing. i picked a weak team and let ai battle and everything is fine. i'm halfway now. i choose random personalities as well didn't matter as for gameplay. Game is ez even if you play without picking the "best" team. suggest just playing the game and have fun u less you want to speed run etc etc.

My team for my playthrough was priest thief and jester, just changed my jester into the sage thank god my jester is now a useful member xD

Jester/Gadabout is quite useless. But Only jester can be Sage(High class job) without special item when it reach to Lv.20. Have a good adventure!

I started this game with a merchant, thief, and monster wrangler class, but I ended up starting to struggle at around the ibis area. So after the grind and multiple class changes my Monster wrangler became a warrior, my thief became a martial artist then priest, and my merchant became a mage then a sage using the words of wisdom

The Ibis area is a difficulty spike which is to be expected for a dungeon crawler. You just have to be willing to not one shot through a dungeon.

It is! I'll play through that on my own, but for streaming I'm just doing regular. A lot of people think 'oh the game is easy' but once you start leaving the first area you're going to start hitting actual dungeons and bosses and they can wipe you.

@advkow Oh definitely. I was complaining that the game was too easy, but then I went to the sky fall tower and my party members kept dying because I was running out of mp and magic water. It's very rewarding though!

Thieves are more useful in this version because they get assassin's stab to kill metal slimes with.Beat the base game already, all 3 are going to have it in next run.Decided to start over knowing what I know now,post game boss is HARD.lol and monster wranglers dont get all thier abilities until post game but can do some damage.

Giving them skills for combat beyond treasure sense and padfoot, while still great skills, was definitely a good move. Because of this and even Gadabouts getting some skills, it is now useful to make sure you max out all spells/abilities a class gets before changing and not just doing it in early twenties most of the time.

Currently doing thief priest mage. Kind of curious if anyone knows do these classes keep there passives such as the thief chance to steal things at the end of combat if I class change them?

They do not keep anything that is not an ability or spell so no the thief will not steal items after class change.

Can I just say, that due to the changes, it really just means that the gender you pick for your party doesn't matter anymore. But the Magic Bikini is still legitimately one of the best armors in the game, due to it giving stupid high magic resistance. So, now you get to do the grind, REGARDLESS of the party you choose. Yippee...

The game is odd in that in character creation they removed gender. However, the rest of the game still uses genders, including the equipment. I think even certain personalities are still locked but I'm not sure yet. It's weird to be honest but not like it makes me not want to play the game.

@advkow honestly, I don't have any issues, and have been having a blast. And, glitch, or not I'm still using the feminine characters for my party, so really nothing has changed for me. I already know what to farm for, I just hope that they either allow Martial Artists to use the Magic Shield now, or that they didn't give Monster Wrangler the same issue. Not being able to get up to 66% magic resistance, because they couldn't equip the shield was another unfortunate issue Martial Artists had in the older versions.

@@MidnaNightengale I mean if you've seen the videos I'm using Cow and his female traveling companions. If I'm on an adventure, I'm going full harem route XD I don't have a martial artist (Yet, going to class change the thief into one eventually) so I don't know if they can or can't.
