I am hearing feedback like that for N.E. USA region for 3 Dan. , Well, I then always learn that my efforts were not enough. And the COVID period didn't help either.

Just passed my 4th Dan exam. for me I think from 3rd dan on, the number 1 most important thing is to get a clear and good ippon Judge only start looking at your techniques and seme once the ippon is made without that, no matter how much you understand seme and how good your technique is, it just doesn’t matter.

Is there a regulation for feet accessories? I've tried different tabi for my left foot and I always felt like they are too slippery. My girlfriend suggested trying kung fu, olympic gymnastics and even ballet footwear, hence the question. Also, are there any tips in order to make the leather sole of the tabi less slippery? Thank you for the wonderful videos!

Violin rosin. Crush little part of it to dust powder on leather base and rub it in just a little bit.
