have helped hundreds of people pass their B2 First exam at no cost, and I would LOVE to keep it that way. Of course, I still have to maintain a full time job while running this channel, and BELIEVE ME, I spend the majority of my free time writing, recording, editing and publishing videos. I love doing this, but I would love it even more if I could do it for a living! If every student that PASSED their exams bought one beer for Bruce I’d be able to do this full time. That would be MARVELLOUS! So, if you’ve PASSED your B2 First exam, and feel that SMASH English really helped, please consider donating here: www.buymeacoffee.com/SMASHEnglish This is not an obligation. One of the fantastic things about SMASH English is that it is free for everyone that needs it! This will not change. However, if you do feel you can say thanks with a little bit of money then that’s fantastic. Thank you all! Toby

Hey, Toby! Your method works really well, but I cannot write any predictions within 45 seconds! I must read them all before making any serious predictions, but it's impossible :(. Still, I can do the listening pretty well

How can I know when to put one word or 2-3 word
@MiloszMajda7 ай бұрын
It’s hard to tell. When you see a one word doesn’t seem to be enough or correct, try to find a phrase which goes with this word. Especially, if it’s your first listening, then during a second listening you can focus on what is said with this word.

Toby, if we use American spelling (colors), will it be offensive for examiners? Is it a mistake?🤔

it's the first time i'm not agree with you. I've no time to make predictions, when I only read sentences the time seems to be very brief
@natlee36 Жыл бұрын
Making predictions is a great tactic (my teacher at school thinks that too), but I agree, I'm not a fast reader myself so I'd rather just focus on trying to read everything before the recording starts lmao but fingers crossed I'll do fine on the exam tomorrow since I got all the answers correct here 🫡 there's hope
@Deskjet27729 ай бұрын
Love your videos, but honestly, this is not a realistic strategy. Look, in your own analyse in 45 seconds we don't even finish to predict sentence one. I know that you're slower in order to students understand the idea. But even being really fast, I don't think we finish reading and predicting more than 5 sentences, lasting 5 sentences unreaded and unpredicted. Cambridge preparation books also loves to share this unrealistic strategies, as we have 10 minutes do read calmy and really analyse , when we have less than 40 seconds.
