Welcome to my channel! I take you through what it's like to take the orientation course online at WGU. Even if you are not in the education program, the orientation course is the same for everyone. WGU's Math & Writing Center has been replaced with the Academic Coaching Center:
Still has resources for math & writing center, plus additional resources for students
*They host live events such as study halls, success strategies, math events, writing events, & teacher college events (basic skills test & content test prep)
*Students are able to meet one-on-one with a peer coach for certain classes with C963 American Politics/Constitution course & C190 Intro to Biology (more to come)
*Students can meet one-on-one with a professional coach for math, writing, researching, studying help questions

This was informative. Just took my Orientation course but i still haven’t turned in the assessment because i’m too tired to fill out the whole schedule and time management section on on the last data point. All of the course texbooks are online and theres no upfront cost you have to pay, except for tuition. Congratulations by the way! ☺️

Can you mot pass the assessment on the math and writing sections of the orientation? Is there anything that could hold you back possibly ?I’m going for the Masters of Arts in Education. I would love to know if anyone has had issues with the assessment ?

The point isn't to pass, these are really for you, so if you don't do as well no worries. This won't hold you back. The assessment that you have to submit is very simple, but if you have to resubmit, it's okay, too. I recommend taking the Orientation as early as you can. So far, I haven't seen any issues with the assessment. You got this, it's very easy!

It will be on your degree plan and in the course itself once you start!

Does orientation start on the 1st of the month (your first day)? Or is it before? I don’t see anything on my courses yet and I’m supposed to start July 1st.

Yes! You complete it just like you would for a course! Always starting the first of the month.
