I go on Wednesday to take my GED science test. Biology was okay for me in school. I was horrible at chemistry and that’s all I’m worried about. Hey how many science videos do you have? I watched 3 different ones and passed my science ready test today, I take my science test on Monday! Hope I pass then I have to retake my social studies. Also it says I need to work on these on my ready test from today: apply science formulas (example: solve for an unknown variable by applying concepts and information provided in a stimulus. Also study: design a science investigation ( example: identity the correct order of steps in a scientific experiment; identify proper measurement tools or appropriate units for a scientific experiment.) Also study: explain different ways in which scientific information is presented. (Example: interpret scientific results and Information in graphs, tables, and various scientific diagrams. ) Also study: find evidence in a science reading that supports a finding. ( example: identify quotations and text from passages that support conclu; identify numerical data that support conclusions. If you could do a video on these so I can study I'm only getting it from your videos and the way you describe stuff once you do a video on these I could definitely pass my science test on Monday! Unless you have more videos I don't know about I've watched 3 science videos.

Does it matter where you carry the letter from? (top or the side) On 4:27, you first took capital (R) from the left side and lower case (r) from the top. What if I did the opposite and took lowercase from the top and capital from the side? Will it change anything? And what if the allele was (rR)? Would this be considered a dominant allele or a recessive allele? I've seen questions where they ask the percentage of dominant traits, and I was wondering if (rR) would still be considered as dominant.

Great question! It's the same either way. The capital is usually written first, so that's why I wrote it that way. But you could write Rr or rR, either way they're talking about the same thing and both are dominant! Anytime you have a capital letter, that gene will dominate 👍🏼 Let me know if that helps!

I am a little confused about punnet square. why not 100%? I thought in Punnet square in vertical line one big R and in horizontal line for small r for one leopard and another one also like that so that should be like Rr, Rr, Rr, Rr like that .

Since both of the parents are heterozygous , they’re both Rr. Then, since we have Rr on top for one parent and Rr on the side for the other, one of the combinations is rr. So that’s the one that knocks it down to 75%

Unfortunately, they don’t tell you exactly how many you need to answer correctly. But, you’ll pass if you get about half of them correct 👍🏼 It’ll be approximately 30, maybe a few more or less

Thank you! For that one, we first need to add all the birds together: 28. Then, to find the probability of a bird being a crow, since there's 6 crows, we'll do 6÷28. With the calculator that'll give us 0.21 or 21%. Hope that helps!

Good luck today!! For that one, since 450 birds were tracked in City B and 25 were killed, then 450 - 25 = 425 bird survived that migration. To find the probability a bird survives that migration, we put the thing we're interested in up top (birds that survived, 425) divided by the total tracked (450): 425 ÷ 450 And this tells us the probability that a bird survives this migration. 👍🏼 Hope that helps! 🙏🏻

Good question! 3 out of the 4 offspring have a R, which is the gene for a spotted coat, so 75% have that trait. They are the RR, Rr, and Rr ones. Only the rr offspring has a black coat, which is 1 out of the 4, or 25%. I hope that helps a little bit!
