I took my plumbing test 20 years ago and I passed! I am a women and I answered all of the questions very quickly and all the men in the room where looking at me and the instructor told them I had passed, it was totally worth it !! Of course I took like a year to study and made sure I had taken the tests and got each answer correctly until then I didn't move on to the next one! I'm going to get my general contractors license to build my daughters home and a couple of others to save money- so I'm basically doing this like you, not planning on using it for anything else. Thanks for the video! And if your wondering- I had a plumbing business that was very successful!!

Passing the Contractor exam is when you study hard, if you can’t study or you don't have time for your studies l'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Willard

About 35 years ago in Massachusetts I passed first time 00 non- restricted supers license. Same as todays A. Moved to KC and went to have my license that I had for over 30 years reciprocated. They said no. I failed about 8 times then dropped it down to c class and passed. I am determined to get that dam A. I have hands on from heavy construction to light frame you name it but struggle to pass the test. That is why I work with my hands I was never any good at schooling. (5 minutes on this spell checking on this reply). I passed my CDL A 1st time early 80s when they called it a Class 1 license before CDL. Thank you for this video

Texas dissolved the state agency for construction license so there is no such thing as a construction contractor’s license. Most all other skill trades are required to have a state license.

I really like the comments at the start about the types of licenses, and why you would want one vs the other. How to prepare for a test is one thing, but knowing what licese you need and why is the first step.

I agree in principle but many states don't spend nearly enough effort on enforcement. The "rock heads" are out there and at some time you will get to deal with the aftermath. FR
