Hello to all of my Healthcare brothers and sister! The 2020 AHA Guidelines are out. I have posted the new videos for BLS, ACLS, and PALS: kzbin.info/aero/PLhOFBB3AV9swkQ1KUodrLKmxvEbI3R0-R. These changes will not take place until February 2021; however, these concepts are currently being taught in your courses. ☺️❤️

I am so glad you enjoyed my video Anthony Isadore. The next videos in the series will be publishing over the next two weeks. Keep a lookout for those videos. Also, I have a megacode video coming as well. Should be very helpful when running scenarios. 🤗💕

Hello Cheung -- thank you for your videos they are very helpful! I am confused about the rescue breathing rate for children. From what I understand the old recommendation was 1 breath every 3 to 5 seconds. However in the BLS video I watched it stated that the new guideline was 1 breath every 2 to 3 seconds with or without an advanced airway.

Great questions Monica ☺️ The 2015 guidelines recommended that rescue breaths were given every 3 to 5 seconds. As we know, children tend to breath faster than adults. The 2020 updated guidelines recommend rescue breaths every 2 to 3 seconds with or without an advanced airway. This video is based on the 2015 guidelines ☺️❤️

Question for you can CNA Take the palace class or is it just for RNs
@NurseCheung3 жыл бұрын
Great question Giselle Alicea ☺️❤️ The Pediatric Advanced Life Support Classes focus on advanced life support which includes medications, rhythm recognition, and algorithms. I have never seen a CNA be declined to attend the class; however, most of the concepts that are taught would be outside of the CNA scope of practice. If you plan to go into nursing school or another healthcare program, I would definitely go for it since it will be imperative information for you to know as you move into advanced practice ☺️

15:2 compression not 30 to 2
@NurseCheung3 жыл бұрын
Great feedback Rema Buzeid; however, 1 person rescuer for PALS is 30 chest compressions and 2 breaths. 2 person rescuer for PALS is 15 compressions to 2 breaths. You can find this information under the 2020 PALS guidelines for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers - Single Rescuer ☺️💜
