Thank you for the video! penn foster really needs more videos or something explaining the whole process. There's so much text about how to upload things but nothing about how to actually FIND a mentor. its so stressful >

Thank You 😊 this video was very informative. I just finished the Veterinary Assistant program through Penn Foster and got my Career Diploma in July 2021. I’m enrolling in the Veterinary Technician course through Penn Foster in January 2022.

Do you need to do the veterinary assistant course first? Or can I do the veterinary technician course first? I've been wondering this.
@comegetmyxlove8 ай бұрын
@@xxxMarijaaa You do not need a VA program/certificate. In fact, most vet offices will train on the job (preferably if you have vet experience) but it's not a real degree or anything. You need a degree with Vet Tech and need to become licensed/certified/registered depending on state requirements.

@@comegetmyxlove thank you for this response! I’m currently doing the vet tech program. Motivation is quite hard, but I’m doing my best to finish the first semester!

Very informative. This will help me a lot in the future. I'm doing the Vet Assist right now with Penn Foster. I hope to then do the Vet Tech.

@@masinaj.6942 how do you like it? Is there a teacher involved? Who checks your grades?
@masinaj.69423 жыл бұрын
@@gabrielapalacios9641 I love how flexible the program is and how inexpensive it is and has payment plans for more expensive programs. There are teachers available to work with you if you don’t understand something but it’s not a virtual class. It’s more just lots of reading which I don’t mind. But the only thing graded are tests everything else is practice quizzes and I don’t think anyone looks over it till the end to make sure you pass the program. You have to have a 65% average to pass.

Thanks for the video! I’ve been in the field for almost 5 years now, mostly as reception, and all of a sudden that I’m about to start my externship I’m feeling like an idiot 😫

Hi, there, you mentioned helpful externship guides that they give you in the portal.And I couldn't seem to find those, but I'm in The Middle of my externship and feel like i'm drowning so could really use the help!

hi!! i saw that they require two externships, would have to take place at two different animal hospitals or could you do them both at the same hospital? i only have one large hospital that they partner with near me and the others are quite far so im hoping they would allow my externships to take place at the same one

I think one externship is with small animals and the second is with large animals

AVOID this school at all cost. Unless, you have prior experience working as a vet assistant. It’s taken me 7 years to get to my final externship and it’s hell. So ready to throw in the towel. The last externship is so hard, because they knit pick at everything and are quick to fail your videos. It’s so bad, that even my supervisors are over their bs 😭
@claudiaschiefer816918 күн бұрын
Nit pick* w/e. Just go to your local community college if you can
