I used the debt snowball method. All debt (except for bond) paid off in 4months. Isolation period helped - Used extra cash from - monthly petrol R2000 in March, then after lockdown just driving to work and home, also saved on uber drives when schools were closed, pre-lockdown my 2 kids in high school whom I would drop in the morning but uber in the afternoons, also cut down on grocery bill by only buying what we need, everyone's eating healthy so we are cutting out the junk food, cancelled DSTV, school sports trips outside town were cancelled, we loved taking roadtrips or weekends away regularly, which has stopped in lockdown, we took a day trip to last weekend for the 1st time in 6months but stuck to our budget agreed upon for the day. My mindset has completely changed!

Can you make a video on car debt here in SA. I have made payments to my car to get it payd off quickly but all I see is my debit order being adjusted to compensate for the time left and then jump back up as if I never made an extra payment. I sold the car and bought a new car shortley after that. The dealership arranged finace and I asked the lady if it was normal what I have experienced with my previous car payments. She said "yes it is but you must phone your finance place and ask for a capital reduction on the loan and that you can only do it once a year." I've found this really odd and confusing and on top of that after a while I looked at my statement and saw that I am paying for an additional R10 000 for admin fees or something. So please make a video about car payments. Thanks
