I’ve heard of that but I don’t like that it only takes away the surface hair. Cause then I can still feel the new hair growing in. I like it to come from the root. And I don’t mind waxing. It just hurts lol

@@Queenalpha05 You should try Magic Shave!? Because it works great for me! My hair is soft & thin on my chin & upper lip so it takes it clean off! And I only have to do it like every other day or 3… One thing I do though is use a scraper to remove the Magic Shave to remove the 1st layer of hair, and then I wipe it clean with a wet & warm cloth in a circular motion until you see no more hair! I know that was a lot, lol, but I hope it helps! And get the white & red can extra strength you can get it a Family Dollar, Walmart etc. & it’s less than 3$! It’s messy, but way better than nair, or shaving with a razor!☺️

Yes it’s hell I’m not self conscious about the hair itself it’s all the dark spots and bumps I have from using nair and plucking when I was younger now they don’t go away even while using prescription creams 😫

The waxing help take away the razor bumps i was getting from using a eyebrow archer. Now i just let it grow for about 3 weeks then get a wax. It comes back fast but hey what can i say! 😫!

‼️ATTENTION ‼️ATTENTION ‼️ 🔻🔻🔻♥️🔻🔻🔻 I HOPE THIS INFO HELPS! HI Laurasia and anyone else who sees this comment! I absolutely love the confidence in showing this. I too have PCOS & I used to wax my masculine hair growth as well. However, in Esthetician School (Where all things skin, beauty, etc is learned) I learned that no Hormonal Hair should be waxed. So I stopped- & for good reason! I always wondered why after waxing-when the next time to wax came around there was MORE HAIR in the area. 🤔 The reason is because when the hair is removed from the follicle, Sensory nerves send a signal to the brain that- that area has now been traumatized. In return blood is rushed to the area to repair and rebuild, only this time creating a thicker hair bulb in hopes to “protect” the hair from more trauma. So it’s actually recommended to shave, get Laser hair removal, or electrolysis. *Note: Hair growing back thicker from shaving is a myth when it comes to terminal hair. Terminal hair is the thick, dark hair that covers our body; such as: eyebrows, scalp, intimate areas, underarms, eyelashes, etc. However, Shaving/Waxing/Sugaring CAN cause vellus hair (peach fuzz) to grown back thicker. So think about it, the reason more hair continued to grow after waxing is because when I applied the wax to the area of hormonal hair- wax also gets on the skin where there’s no seen terminal- yet there is possibly undetectable vellus hair there (peach fuzz) causing that vellus hair to grow back as terminal hair (thicker, darker hair) Laser hair removal is not permanent…shocker right!? However it does reduce hair. It’s recommended to have touch up treatments. Also, laser hair removal only works on pigmented hair. It will not work on super light blonde, red, white, or grey hair. The ONLY PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL is Electrolysis, which works on all hair…it’s just very tedious. I’m currently waiting to get my laser hair removal and have already been patch tested. Laser hair removal can be a bit pricy at some places, so if you’re budgeting, look for an esthetician school that also takes clientele- they’re likely to have cheaper rates. I hope this makes sense and helps! 😊🌸

Yes! It took me a while to figure out how to deal with it. First I was going to get waxed at the nail salon every 2 weeks and was paying $75 each time for a full face. Then I would break out ALWAYS after because pcos and the acne is no joke. My skin is so sensitive anything will break me out. Then I discovered film wax and made my own combo that dosent irritate my skin. This way is much cheaper, and I can wax when I want to. I get the 5 LB bag of wax and I’ve had the same one since 2020 so it’s a good investment

I have hyperpigmentation on my chin because the hair grows in the same place so often. When the hair starts to grow back, that when the bumps come. It’s sucks having this condition because all the other symptoms too.

Thank you for your bravery and transparency! I do not have PCOS but do have more facial hair than usual since childhood. I used to tweeze, wax, thread etc but it eventually grows back. I did some research and discovered electrolysis which is the only permanent hair removal. It removes the hair AND kills the follicle which stops it from ever growing. It takes commitment and patience and can be expensive but is definitely worth looking into.

To me, creams just take off the surface hair. I don’t like the 5 o clock shadow look after a couple days. I prefer to just wax because it last 2 weeks

Thank you for sharing Laurasia! Watching you was helpful. Currently, I go get my waxes done with threading to clean-up, but I'm wanting to go back to doing it myself. I was for a moment, but I wasn't good at it and got tired of damaging my skin, plus it would take me soooo long (my hair grows on my cheeks, chin, lip, and neck). Would you say that this wax is less likely to pull off the skin? I'm not sure if it was me or a soft wax thing. Probably the soft wax since I go over areas more frequently with it.
