Hi Cynthia - a great question. This sounds like it would be a cheque bouncing - ie the bank tries to get the $$ but the customer’s bank account has insufficient funds. The original journal would have been Dr Cash, Cr Acc Receivable (or Sale). So it needs to be reversed from the cash journal ☺️

Hi! It should already have been subtracted from the cash balance the previous month - so it matches off but you don’t normally need to include it in the reconciliation.
