Went to look this up for my job as a janitor. See, I wanted to squat instead of bending down when cleaning toilets, but I also didn’t want to mess up my knees more from bad lunges in high school. Plus, I was concerned if I leaned forward too much that could mess something up. However, it looks like and feels like I’m doing it right considering I feel stable and only feel sore and not pain. Sore as in my unfit ass actually doing physical work.😅

I doubt you'll answer this but here goes. I have VERY flat feet and I feel like it's detrimental to my knee position during squats. Anything you would recommend?
@Nebula_ya2 жыл бұрын
I think he mentioned this in a video before, something about spreading your toes restores the arch to your foot
@bastiaanbogers41142 жыл бұрын
@@Nebula_ya That will definitely work up to a certain point. I also have flat feet and really increased my foot arch strength and stability by doing this. However, I have also seen people with severely flat feet that have wayyyy flatter feet than I and I doubt that this will work well for them.
@broniszlebiecki92982 жыл бұрын
Many great tutorials here on KZbin. My favorite exercise is put a coin under where the big toe attaches to foot and try to move it closer to you without rising you foot. The coin is not really necessary but it may help. You'll activate those key feet muscles Then focus on every step through your day. Take small steps and rotate your legs outward slightly as the foot is in touch with ground, the point here is to support the arch. May feel a little like learning walking again but it's all right Toe spacers improve stability of foot, not necessarily weak arches but try to push your knees outward from big toe. This is great for knees because naturally our legs are curved and lack of support from feet increase unnecessary load on knees
