Dear brother as a female convert I was struggling to understand how to perform ghusul in real life. The books are often aimed at males. Your video finally made it clear. May Allah reward you for this. I have seen so many nasty disappointing comments on here. Is this the state of the ummah? Focusing on such petty things??!!Even one comment about the brother's accent. People actually think they are better than others because of their accent! Astaghfrallah. We will all be judged by our maker. Only Allah knows your intention and your heart brother. People getting so pressed about a thumbnail...only Allah knows what their eyes are viewing when they are in private. May we not be among the hypocrites.

Ghusl in its most simplistic form involves making an intention to do so and washing yourself with water in a way that wets the entire surface of your body. This is the required minimum as mentioned in the Quran and is enough for attaining purity for salaah. For those who like more rewards, additional steps can be added and from hadeeth, we can perform iit in a way the Propeht peace and blessings of Allah be upon him performed it such as washing hands, moth, nose, private parts, then water on head and hair, right side first, 3 times , using 4 litres of water for the Ghusl etc. Unlike 1500 or so years ago, there were no showers and running water like we have today so naturally the nature of Ghusl has changed, but the essence remains the same with the intention and with wetting the entire surface area of the body (that means ladies hair braids do not include surface area and does not need unbraiding etc- very relevant for African hairstyles only requiring wetting of the entire scalp, not each fibre of hair) and those who wish to continue the Proohet’s sunnah can incorporate the sequence without wasting an additional shower after doing the Ghusl and then another modern shower, many do that and it’s makes no logical sense other than wasting a lot of water and time. Arabs keep it simple I’ve observed whereas those living in countries with a history of other religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, etc have complicated this simple ritual.

Salam everyone, What I’ve learned is down bellow for ghusal after menses and i do this way for everything. (According to sunnah) 1: First chose your clean clothes (fresh washed) which you are going to wear, make sure they are full sleeves, you have a scarf with, and what i mean is you should be covered completely when you going out of shower /ghusal. 2: remove nail paint, any makeup or anything which prevent water touch to your skin or body, (fake eyelashes, nail paint, hair extensions, fake nails etc won’t let water touch your skin and won’t wash it). 3: pray the duaa for entering washroom so that you become safe from jins and satan, 4A: once you entered washroom- clean your genitals and armpits from hair (with what ever instruments you want or the way you want, some recommended ways are there ) 4B : wash your hands by taking water in your right hand and then wash both hands with it, make sure they are clean, (3 times) 5 : wash your genitalia with left hand (make sure they are clean) 6: wash hands again. 7: wash mouth 3 times 8: wash/ sniff water in to your nose and clean it with the right hand’s little finger (3 times). 9: take clean water and pour it on your head so that no hair and middle body left without water, 10: take water and pour it on your right shoulder and then left, (repeat no 9 and then no 10, do it 3 times one after the other ) 11: now you can use shampoo or soap or whatever you want to use and the way you usually take bath, 12: (wear clothes) better to wear the bottom first, then shirt and than your scarf, and when you come out of washroom keep your left leg first and then pray the duaa of leaving washroom, 13: for those who are bathing after menses, they shouldn’t talk to anybody , pray ayat.ul.kursi (I don’t know if it’s after nafal or before nafal) and go straight to your prayer matte, pray 2 rakat nafal of thanks for getting clean. There might be mistakes but was better than knowing nothing.

Assalamu alaykum. It is important to do the ghusl. Beacsue Intention only without action will be invalid. Generally speaking, to make the most out of our good deeds, we must do the following: 1. to do it with intention, 2. to do it for the sake of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala , and 3. to perform the good deed on how it was described in the sunnah. In these ways, our deeds will be accepted by the mercy of our Lord. So my dear brothers and sister in Islam, intention is not enough. We must make an effort to practice our religion, by the Help of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. May Allah make it easy for us to seek more knowledge and act upon sunnah. Allahumma ameen.

No, you need to make an intention to do ghusul, then the ghusul will be valid, ghusul without intention is invalid, whoever told you that, either you misheard them or they lied to you, the evidence shows that one must do the action and the intention, if not, then we would have proof from the prophet peace be upon him saying that intention is sufficient, but we don't, we only have proof of him doing the intention and the action.

Thank you. The Quran has 3 verses that briefly mention Ghusl, to wash oneself. It’s worth mentioning that It’s important to keep in mind that according to narrated hadith , Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) usually used only about 4L of water (one sa’a) to perform a quick ghusl - that’s just 4 bottles of water! 😲 I’ve heard of ridiculous cultural practices such as in India that are far removed from ghusl and the logic of Ghusl. Ghusl need only take a few minutes, intention and wetting the entire surface area of the body is what really matter. it’s important to remember the simplicity and ease of practicing Islam, and not complicate procedures as people love to do.

Seems the steps of doing ghusl is wrong. If you're a muslim woman and doing ghusl to purify from impurity such as just done your menses. 1st. Make Niyyah (intention) 2nd. Say Bismillah 3rd. wash your hands up to the wrist first the right then the left (3x) each hand 4th. Wash your private part with water (3x) 5th. Perform the wudu as how you make it during obligatory prayer. (Wash your right and left hands, rinse your mouth, your nostrils, face to earlobe, your arms right first then left (all 3x as this is sunnah) then wipe your head start it from forehead to the back then vice versa (once only), then your both ears. 6th. Wash your hair up to the roots (3x) 7th. Wash your body first the right side and then the left and, wash all over your body. Then move away from the shower 8th. Wash your feet up to the ankle beginning to your right and then left feet (3x) 9th. Say the shahada and Allahumaj'alni minat-tawwabina waj'alni minal-mutatahhirin (Oh Allah, make me among those who turn to you in repentance, and make me among those who are purified.

I know but ws told supplication is not a must just wash your hair first with water on your right side then left side then whole head with water begining with bismillah then use soap / shampoo

He is clearly lacking in knowledge( that is if he is real and a Muslim ) and it Is incumbent upon people who know to warn the Muslims against an ignorant person . Why I have to move away just where I had my ghusl? because that's where my shower is. and while doing ablution I'm already washing my feet including sole and heals 3 times so why I have to do it again at the last?
