That is really nice of you to take the time to put together information for other performers for dealing with the LA bureaucracy. You are a very talented singer, I hope you have continued success with your music. I used to visit the pier on vacations with my parents when I was a kid in the 60s, it was quite the scene then, and have only been back once as an adult. It was on a weeknight in the early Spring and there was just one guy- - - playing a Gretsch 6120 with a loop pedal; and sounding a lot better than anything you hear on the radio lately, he was amazing. Lots of talent must find it's way to that pier.

This came right when I needed it! I'm in Southern Cali and about to dive into the world of busking myself. The info here was super useful for me, and encouraging. Thank you much!

Do they pretty much give you a permit if you apply and pay the fee? At the pier, do they kick you out if they don’t like your performance?

Mário Nobre you can go to Venice or research a farmers market and play. Or I would try a park like the Echo Park lake :)
