In this video tutorial, how to perform Optimal Power Flow Through MATLAB Programming is discussed. For this purpose, I have considered an example from the Book Power System Analysis by Hadi Sadat, Chapter 7, Example 7.10.

Thank you for your amazing tutorial. How are generator Mvar and Qmin, Qmax values determined for the slack bus and voltage controlled buses 2 and 3 at the array busdata? These are not given in the 5-bus figure or description, but values are inserted in busdata. Thank you.

Hi dr, thank you for your video, i would like to ask you a question, i try to apply the code to IEEE 30 bus system that is also given in the previous chapter with the cost function and generation limits that i get from other paper, but the result is stuck because of the B co-efficient is in imaginary number or Nan + NaNi, would you mind telling me what is happening, thank you in advance

Thanks for the comment. For economic load dispatch, mostly optimization techniques are used such as ant colony, bee colony, pso etc.
