Just a public announcement, if you are having ANY problems with your nav system or you get the message about vehicle phone requires service, DO NOT UPDATE YOUR RADIO!! It will get stuck at the embedded air card section. If it's too late and you have already ran into this problem there are 2 solutions that possibly will work: 1) as soon as it starts to update and gets to 1%, remove usb and the radio should return to functionality. 2) If that doesn't work, some people have had luck with driving around an area with good cell service and having the update go through. it has taken some people 4 days or more of trying before the second method works.

I have a 2012 300 mopar 12 and the screen doesnt respond to touch. It always has power its always on when vehicle is on but does not respond to touch. Radio still works, can still change input, stations and volume with buttons under screen and with buttons on steering wheel. Anyone else having this issue?

I tried this on my 2015 Durango and at unit 11 it just stops. 67% done and the error it gives me is "Sierra wireless: application file install failed". How can I fix this?

Have you tried downloading the program to a new thumb drive and installing it? The drive needs to only have the update on it and nothing else for it to work properly. Hope this helps

Sometimes my usb that I also use for charging my phone, will work when it wants to. Sometimes it will charge my phone and times it doesn’t. I try to stick a usb stick in and the radio said error. Then to do my maps update it shows in the one screen no option to update just restore or cancel. It should have options restore, info, or update map. Mine only shows restore. Wtf!!

Brian Montero yes the usb has to be blank, also when you insert the usb into your computer, right click on the drive and click format drive, that ensures it is clean

I got the USB from Chrysler and tried to install per the instructions but had a problem, It started okay but after about 2 minutes nothing else happened for an hour. I finally removed the USB and backed the car up some to get a better view of the sky and put the USB back in and it started showing download and finished in about 35 minutes. Has anyone else had this problem?

both my 2012 charger and 300 with updates done has brought no life back to the bluetooth or handsfree voice system.

I have the same issue - I am hearing now that it is happening in ALL the vehicles! The Bluetooth module goes out in them. I am checking the handsfree system fuse in the cab, and praying that is the issue. Otherwise, I have to find a replacement BT module for under 400 dollars!

You have to change out the Bluetooth Modual .

This update is performed to protect the gateway from being hacked. Check for Bluetooth updates but in most cases you will need a new blue tooth module
