A hack I do is flat twisting the roots. You have to do less rods and it kind of separates it’s self as you take it down!

Always love your videos! I am always practicing my perm/flexi rods and I hope to get good at them one day! Could you possibly use the Design Essentials Almond & Avocado, or Nairobi Mousse? I also know curls has their ultimate styling collection that has 4 gels for different styles and the pink gel is for rod sets but I can't find anyone with type 4 hair online that has done a rod set with that gel.
