I will try each of these methods. I don't know about anyone else but, MS just has too much control over MY COMPUTER!! I have 2 galaxy screen savers that I bought legit in 2015. They have been on 2 of my build since then. Last year MS started deleting them saying they were infected which I KNOW is BS. I absolutely HATE MS with unbridled passion. They are a horrible corporation. They have enough money to buy 2 game companies yet, not enough to offer easy tech support for THEIR PRODUCT. Right now I have that 'your device is at risk of being out of date you will need to restart to install updates'.... I can't say no....which is complete BS!! This is MY computer....NOT satyas!!! I'm sick of it!! I can only imagine the nightmare that is windows 11 and how much control they have over your computer. Thanks for reading my rant.

If you can't enable it, then reinstall windows. Because it is better to have the Windows defender. If you have another antivirus, then no need to reinstall because it automatically disables defender.

If the settings are reverted again, use gpupdate /force command with CMD before restarting and make sure to run it as administrator. And check whether you have any updates with windows.

Very true Windows defender sucks If you want to know the reason why people are always having Windows installer service error Is because of this users Windows defender security, for no apparent reason it will remove the Windows install shield service from your computer. So that means now if you want to try and install a game that has to do with Windows installer(which is .MSI (Microsoft software installer) ) It will not work

Most probably it might be due to the graphic driver issues. If possible, try to update graphic drivers and adjust the graphic settings. Also scan your computer for viruses and close unwanted background applications.

I've already did this before with other software and lost a ton of files by ransomware encrypting all of my files. I have found a different solution instead to disable it which is with Autoruns for Windows and it works perfect so far.
