I have been playing sax clarinet and flute for over 50 years and I have never heard anyone explain the "routine " as well as Ted just did. I wish I had teachers like Ted 40 years ago. We need to make young players want to do this craft and pass it on as we teach. Thanks Ted. Keep up the great inspirational talks about keeping the music happening.

Much of this lesson of singing either out loud or to myself inwardly i discovered the hard way by myself .. this and the idea of practicing chromatic scales slower not faster . would have all been nice if one of my Teachers had told me these things half a century ago . I practice every day and have done a thousand club dates and still do a jazz gig today but i thank you for the excellent lesson today Mr Nash ..

Thanks Ted. Love your attitude, patience and truth. i would love to study with you. My favorite tune of your is "Ode To The Oba" I've been playing for 35 years but oftentimes reach barriers to practicing and have trouble having the energy to keep improving my chops. It's all about desire but I think planning to get inspiration like yours will help.
