Thank you so much! I'm so embarrassed of the photos I've been taking that I haven't been posting any! I was trying to blame my phone and my digital camera, but it's my lack of knowledge and taking the time to learn and practice! You just taught me so much and inspired me to get to know my camera, my phone app and my lightbox and practice! I set a goal to have some good photos up by this time next week! Thank you for taking the time to inspire and help others!

I agree, the first thing I do when posting a photo is apologise for how crap it is. I have no interest in photography but I do need better gemstone pictures and this has helped immensely. The advice on lighting was great and the additional lens I already had but never thought of using it.

Thank you !! This is the best most, straight forward video that I've seen about photographing jewellery. The key advice for me relates to slightly over exposing the image. I've now got some great pictures taken with a phone. Follow the advice to the letter and you won't be disappointed. Thanks again. Kind Regards . . . Andy

Nice. Thank you. I'm a professional photographer, but have been looking for videos of jewelry for my wife. She makes handmade jewelry, and is taking her photos with an iPhone 14 Pro. This will be helpful to her, I'm sure, as I got her that Camera+ 2 app, and she was confused by it.

A macro lens is specifically for close up photography. What kind of photography are you hoping to achieve? It may be that you don't need a lens x

Hi, this is the first, maybe second video I've seen of yours... 💭 .. And it really helps a lot thanks. But I was wondering if you could help me with something please? What if you only have space to stage jewellery on your bed for example? 🤔😳🙄 My house is a complete shambles right now and have little to no space!! Any ideas to make it work? 😟 Please help!! 😌🙏💕
@NiyantaShahNi5 жыл бұрын
Hi Jo. You could try with a small inexpensive light box to place on your bed with a lamp shining above it? I also made my own when I first started. I got an a3 sheet of flexible card and propped it up against a large object to give a curve which gives the illusion of infinite space. Then I added posed my items and it worked! Try that and see how you go. I'm sure Karen will give some different tips too. All the best!
@JewellersAcademy5 жыл бұрын
The great thing about jewellery is that it's small so I'm sure you can make any space you have work! The key things to work on are light and having a crisp image and the advice in the video should help you achieve this. Good luck with it!

Yes it is an important part but you only really need a few. Etsy can be a good place to source props such as trinket trays, tiles, fabrics, flowers and ribbons. It will depend on your brand though - as to what's right for you. Just start by giving things a try x
