How to pick open a lock with paper clip [Easy technique]

Today we level up our rogue skills by learning how to open a lock with a paperclip! Really, it could be called how to open a lock with a hairpin or any other similar material. A paperclip is what I had and, honestly, as a male I find myself with paperclips WAY more often then I do with hairpins. Regardless, these silly locks are no match for our SKILLS!

This is a great explanation assuming the lock does not have security pins. A beginner may get discouraged if he happened to start with a higher security lock. A Master Lock #3 is great for practice. For more details, check out the Lock Labs channel or Lock Picking Lawyer.

It sounds like you need to add a bit more tension to your tension wrench. Apply wnough so that they stay up but not so much they bing before getting to the sheer line. Takes a bit of practice but you will start to feel it when it lines up correctly

How are you supposed to push up the pins if you can't see inside?

That's where the practice comes in. After a while you can feel it catch once the pin passes the sheer line. You can also feel the barrel twist slightly. Keep trying!

Don't give up! Practice and You will get it. They also sell some practice locks if you really want to learn. Easily remove tumblers to make the lock simple to pick to get started.

@@SkillTree I did a Tension wrench and a pick. But I didnt bend the feeler pick. Just straight. Its normal to cant open the lock yes? And I tried to lockpick just like 1 hour. Please answer dude.

@@vodkahardbass2162 yeah, you will need to bend the pick. Otherwise it will not push the pins up high enough.
