I love those gently sloping, square, Japanese bird baths that were everywhere a few years ago & now you can't find them anymore. Those are PERFECT for birds because of the gentle slope & the 4 points that stood out for them to land on.

That video was excellent. Thank you for sharing. I am about to implement all of these ideas with two extra bird baths the previous owner left me. I'm thinking of using drip irrigation to fill up a local bucket reservoir and then using a solar pump to keep the water moving between the bucket and the bath

You probably want to put your birdbath in a somewhat sheltered area with partial shade to protect from both wind and sun. Somewhere you can easily see as well will help with aesthetics! Also make sure to not put it somewhere with lots of traffic, when they're taking a bath they prefer a bit more quiet, so try to keep them away from feeders and such
