How to Pick, Pack, and Ship in Odoo V15 (EasyPost, USPS, UPS, FedEx)

How hard is it to add additional options such as signature verification to shipments? EasyPost says it needs to be configured on the odoo side. Thanks for the great video(s)!

Excellent tutorial. When trying to get the shipping rate this error pops up "It seems Easypost do not provide shipments for this order. We advise you to try with another package type or service level." I have checked that the delivery package supports the weight of the product and tried several service levels. Any ideas?

Should the steps remain the same if we use the Easypost UPSDAP account? I'm having difficulty getting it to populate those options if I call them Directly -- but it does fill in Ground if I leave it blank..

Does EasyPost validate the address? Or did you validate it before you typed it in Odoo?

Odoo does some validation. You must have a valid address on the corresponding customer. I am unsure to what extent it validates addresses.

How do Amazon manage to identify real shipping cost in real time upon check out? It's just more convenient that way.

They have sophisticated algorithms. In order to calculate real shipping costs in real-time, there are several things you would have to know. In order to calculate the shipping you generally need to know the source location, the destination location, the total number of packages, and the weight and dimensions of each package. For a single item, it's fairly trivial, you would need to know the dimensions and identify a box that the item can fit into based on the dimensions of the product. For multiple items, it can get much more complex, you first need to know the total dimensions of all the products and find a single box or multiple boxes for these items. You also need to know if one big box or multiple small boxes would be cheaper. You also have to leave some extra room for packaging and packing equipment. Flat rate boxes make this somewhat easier.
