This was informative but not what I expected I looking for advice on how to choose right yarn textures and what yarn wears well for a jumper project. I brought a multi-coloured acrylic yarn but I think it's too stiff to be a scarf not sure to frog it and make it into a jumper.

I'm really glad a lot of your affordable options are actually affordable. i always open videos or posts like this and its from people who i guess have like a moral objection to synthetic fiber (really just acrylic) and will be like a $30 skein of hand dyed wool from some obscure island "on sale for $1 off" 😂 im like ok i know acrylic is bad for the environment and stuff but people act like a skein of super saver murdered their parents. i am moving toward knitting with more cotton and cotton blends for environmental reasons, but i appreciate you didn't completely avoid acrylic/big brand craft store yarns😊

I just found your channel today and loved your review on yarns and yarn companies. Of course the "staples" are always fun and affordable to use and are so important to those of us on a budget! However, I loved your recommendations of mid to high-end yarns & especially the smaller yarn suppliers who dye their own yarns (I loved the one who you said works out of her garage!) I'm with you with the Malabrigo yarn - I absolutely love the colors they make and I'm definitely gonna invest in some of that yarn at some point when I have the courage to spend that much money on yarn lol

also my go-to brand is Premier Yarns - love their anti-pilling acrylics (their clearance section is pretty awesome)

I've just started knitting again and have finished several projects using Knit Picks yarn and Expression Fiber Arts yarns. Loved everything I've tried so far. Looking at Hedgehog Fibre fingering yarn for a shawl by Andrea Mowry for a future project. I will be checking out some of the yarns you reviewed.

I'm so sad the wool ease texture changed. I'm trying to dupe the wool/crazy sexy wool which is what's called for in my sweater pattern, I honestly just cant stomach a 200 dollar wool purchase. I'm thinking and hoping the K+C Nordic wool will match it

I get what you’re saying. I really wasn’t expecting one this early, but honestly was pretty stoked when they asked me to review this app that was started by a really cool Australian woman that I thought was such a good idea. They didn’t tell me what to say, just asked for my honest review and my content apart from those two minutes is exactly as it always is. I only have 5 K subscribers lol I’m on here for fun! I made a 58 minute video last week that has like 250 views. I don’t think I’m blowing up anytime soon. I’m doing my best.
