Knowing the music that you like is a big help here 😊. I listen to hours and hours of music. With time it has become easier and easier to build a good " story" in music.

I ended a set doing Clinton Sparks - Closing Time - (Semisonic Remix) After doing a Trench Set (riddim) and it actually went over well being a house track. Kind of a good and easy vibe to end the night.

Why picking just one track for the beggining and only one for the end? Is it wrong to select for example 2 or 3 for beggining and end sessions and then to build up the mid section?

Track selection should never be set in stone unless you are planning a mix. So many factors need considering selection. Absolutely nothing wrong with reading the crowd or audience etc. You could bring them up and down and then up again if you like. I used to treat my bar sets like it was a radio show. In and out with loads of different genres. As long as you get peak times right with the best stuff to dance to and head for nostalgia and or more uplift towards the end. Or not lol. Be free when dj'ing. If everyone follows it like this then its gonna get very predictable listening to your sets guys.

Hy Jony is like AMEN Like reading the Bible of Dj-ing !Actually from my knowledge the AMEN meens or translate 'so be it " like a continuously been or existing ! From my perspective this tips could e aplicable only for club stuff where the initial intention is long anbiance mixes not quite boom and go home !I meen i m not saying like a bad thing more like as you mention for club dj ing right ?So no birthdays or wedings or other party playlist !Those by nature have their own i could say already director made program like receving the quests ,aperitive meals, weding cake, dance of the bride etc right ?is only about a particulary way of choose tracks for a playlist dj for club !like for 2 hours between dj changes between them ... Cool info!
