This video was a wonderful refresher! I need to prepare some backs for three quilts. I like the organizing part too! I use graph paper all the time when I change up a pattern or design one I have seen in a photo. Good video!🌻🐛🌻🐛🌻

As always good information. Michelle I don’t remember if I told you, I came across an awesome book series by Ann Hazelwood. First in the series is The Basement Quilt. Totally enjoyed. I’ve started the 2nd - The Potting Shed Quilt. Have a great weekend

Hi Peggers! I have read that series! I think you will like all of those books!!! I just started a new series and I am on book six. It is called the Ettie Smith Amish Mystery Series. I started reading this series with book five titled “Amish Quilt Shop Mystery”. They are fun easy reads! I decided to read more in the series even though only the one was about a quilt shop. They are free if you have an Amazons Kindle unlimited subscription.

This is really cool! Why do you make it 58.5 and 71.5 instead of going to even inches? Love you💕💕💕💕

What do you do with your selvages? I've been saving mine because I was told I should but I have no idea what I'm going to do with them. That blue fabric is gorgeous is that grunge?

Hi Terri! I love using selvages! I have used them to make several sewing machine mats! I like using a sewing machine mat because I feel like it helps to cut down on noise and vibration while sewing. Plus the mats look super cool! Here is the link for a video I created to help show you how to make the mats! kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXm8ool5p9-KarM That fabric is a grunge and right now I really like the grunge fabrics!

HELP!!!! Im hoping you see this comment (I know it’s a couple years late). 😂 I just finished a quilt top that measures 55” x 74”. I calculated that I needed 4-1/8 yard of 41” fabric. I cannot for the life of me figure out how I need to cut this fabric to piece the backing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA

You fabric will measure 41" x 148.50" from what you stated. If you cut the length in half (148.50 /2) that would give you two pieces that measure 41 x 74.25. Sew the long sides (74.25") together. Then your backing will measure 74.25 x 82. You should have enough overage for your quilt top if it measures 55 x 74. You will have extra fabric left over. It will depend on how much overage you are wanting/needing. I remove the selvages before piecing the back. If you do remove them, cut them off sparingly so you will have enough overage for quilting. You will only need to remove the selvage on the seam you sew together. Hope this helps!
