Very helpful. I never thought about pinching our Autumn Joys! I’ll definitely try this next year. Thanks

I have a similar upright sedum called Munstead Dark Red and never thought to pinch it. This video is just what I needed. Thank you for the tip!

You could cut little bit lower, take cuttings and produce new plants. Have a nice day.

Yes, I haven't tried that, but have heard they propogate well!
@zoranlazovic99707 ай бұрын
Yes, as majority of sedums, rooting hormon not needed.

Can you root the part that you cut off for a new plant?
@TheGardenMouse9 ай бұрын
Yes, you can. I haven't tried it myself, but supposedly they root pretty quickly!

@TheGardenMouse awesome! Worth a try.

@@TheGardenMouse I sure will. I have to buy some plant first! Lol New home and there are hardly any plants. Clean slate for me! But lots of work ahead.

Thanks for the info. Can you propagate the cuttings?
@TheGardenMouse Жыл бұрын
Yes, you should be able to propogate the cutting much like you would with a coleus....I haven't tried it myself, though! Let me know what happens if you do!

them to recover! I did propagate some from last year. They did well in water. Many new plants but deer have found them also👎 Gotta keep on keeping on.

What conifer is planted behind your sedum? It's a beautiful combination.
@TheGardenMouse7 ай бұрын
@@dbueter Thank you. They are some type of arborvitae, but I don't know what kind. They were here when we moved in.

She says go down 6 inches, then goes down 3 LOL Also, take the top that you cut and just plant it to the soil, in no time it will be a nice plant.

That is a good idea!

Will cutting that high up make the plant top heavy?
