Did u prime the model befor colours or rub down then spray colours phil ...i guess u have to remove mould release??

Thanks Pete.yes shame we are losing our flying field it was perfect.60 acres,two large grass runways...started off just me and a friend flying there but over last summer we had quite a gathering turning up.fifteen people on a few occasions.i fly 1/4 scale fixed wing along with helis and fpv racing quads so the site will be sorely and deeply missed.hopefully got permission to fly at Brantridge Park near Crawley so hopefully the transition to flying there will go smoothly.thanks again for all the great videos,Happy New Year and keep up the great work.kind regards,Jason

Great video as usual,can't wait to see it finished.don't know about you but here in southern England it's been windy/wet for weeks now so not getting much flying in.combine that with our field having a solar farm built on it 😢😢😢 it's not been a great end to the year.at least we have your videos to watch over the winter and keep us occupied.keep up the great videos,kind regards,Jason

what kind of paint do you use. for glow fuel the best thing I have found is epoxy that I mix and add pigment. very hard to work with and takes forever to harden and needs a lot of thin coats to cover and because it runs easy and I have never even tried to spraying it. It's tuff though, can clean it with anything, even laquar thinner. I used to use hot fuel proof dope but can't seem to get it anymore, everything that says hfp nowdays gets attacked by the glow fuel to some extent. I suppose you burn gas though.

Lovely. Was the base coat sprayed straight onto what I assume is fibreglass? No primer or anything like that?

+avman180 no mike, the white is a primer put on top of the gelcoat finished fuzz, then the red base coat goes onto the white, then another three red coats on top of the red base coat,
