Great tips, bros. Historically, worship has always had an emphasis on propelling the mission of the church, but we’ve struggled figuring out how to contextualize it today. Listen to this stuff people. Minus the child of God medley. Don’t listen to that.

Good stuff! Our staff is going through the book Simple Church by Rainer and Geiger and you guys pretty much just covered the Sunday Service aspect of being simple. Everything you do has to come back to the Mission otherwise you will be going a billion directions all at once.

So great to focus on what’s important first and then consider the logistics second. So often we mix up the order of things to consider

I really appreciate the energy and practical approach. Thanks guys. Good job. I shared this video with the worship team at Forest Hills Presbyterian in Martinsville, VA. We are "old school" and small, but evolving.. thanks for the ideas.

I totally agree with the single theme principle, and that's exactly what we aim for in our church's Sunday services. But that single theme MUST come from the Bible passage you are looking at, not just from the mind of the service leader or the church leadership team. The way we ensure this happens in our church is that usually the preacher plans and leads the service, and the planning of the service comes after the preparation of the message. Just an idea!

Hey Tom - absolutely! You would want to ensure that your single take away message is Biblical and fits the mission/vision of your church. For most churches the most logical way of doing this would be to have the pastor establish the theme for each week based on the message.

⚠️Is it good to give a questionnaire to the church so we can see any options on time, days or what would they would be willing to attend more? What do you guys suggest.

I have to say something. Church growth is caused by God. This is in the Bible in Acts. Remember the Day of Pentecost? This is the problem I have with this whole video. That is why people are probably staying home to worship God in smaller groups. You make a video about all these plans, conferring about all the songs for worship, coming up with all these ideas about next steps, spreadsheets, themes, and annoucements. But where is God in all of the planning? Simple prayer or even fasting? Asking God to just show us the way of how to do this or that. Brethren, we got to bring it all back to God. Keep things simple. Follow the Bible and what it says to do. Jesus said, "Without me, you can do nothing". So do you really think - that with all the spreadsheets, and fancy tables and charts, and worship songs and all of that hard work - it will bring more people? And if it does - would it bring the kind of family "atmosphere" and sense of true belonging that everyone really seek when they come to church in the first place? Stop with all of the sophiscated planning. Go to God in prayer FIRST - wait on answer. Then ask the MEMBERS what or why they come to church. Simple.
