Hey Sophie! Great video!! I have multiple hedges as part of a food forest style garden. One thing I have found is that over the years, hedges naturally go through a "chop and drop" phase so that I never have to water. This means improving soil health beneath the hedge over the long term and a source of microorganisms that I use as a starter for my compost piles. Cheers!

Would love to know which plants you're growing in your edible hedge!

What’s the whispy purple flowering plant behind Sophie? Love it!

Best hedge video I've found after watching them all! So thorough. Thank you. The only thing I'm still not quite clear on... We should be pruning off the top even before they reach their desired height? Thanks again!

Thank you for the info what are the rules when it comes to maintaining a common hedge with your neighbour, do you have to prune their side?

I'll buy ya some better shears 😉 Sophie, Stubbs got me a pair 15+ yrs ago. Only ever had to replace the rubber nipples once.✂️
