Thank you for this knowledge shared. I never knew it could grow just like that :) So I am pleasantly surprised to see this happen. I just dropped 5 of the nuts in water to start the growing process. I put a bitter kola seed in a plastic bag and threw the bad in a diy greenhouse ( just a transplant plastic box) and it took about nine months for it to germinate and almost two years for it to push out two leaves and it still has two leaves till today 😅😂 so I have transplanted it into a bigger pot and by the way I live in Sweden 🇸🇪 Let’s see how it fares

Bitter kola seeds take time to germinate. That's one of its characteristics. It's a good economic tree. The kola is locally consumed and an export hot cake. Good luck. Some gardeners apply the airlayering method in the production of its seedlings. Airlayered bitter kola seedlings start production of fruits in a very short time. Say 2 to 3 years. There is one Cameroonian farmer that is among the pioneers.
