I show you how to pot up and plant your dahlia tubers and how to support them for the Summer.
Dahlias are tender tubers. If you planted them out before the frosts are over there is a risk they could get frosted and die. They need to be potted up in March or April and kept in a light, frost free place and keep the compost moist. I use 3 Litre pots for my tubers. They will have formed strong bushy plants by the time the frosts are over and will be flowering by July right through to November! I will be back in around May time to show you how I plant out and support my Dahlias.
I was asked to make these planting videos by www.bulbi.nl and they supplied me with beautiful tubers for my garden to demonstrate with. I look forward to showing you them in flower.
