I would like to plaster a bathroom floor but the concrete is very porous so I need to plaster it and make it as water proof as possible. Any advice? Higher cement content? Any products I can add to the mixture to make it less porous? Any advice would be appreciated

Enough cement is always the best. But the thickness of any subfloor is important as well. Additionally, concrete binding agents are recommended along with the appropriate size and thickness mesh wire. Once the concrete is about an hour, try sprinkling fresh cement powder on the surface and smooth out with the appropriate trowel to further waterproof. Try a concrete sealer after 72hrs. Concrete takes approximately 28 days to set.
