For anyone having troubles finding the right file to download, those bunch of numbers mean something. Look for mpv-x86_64-v3 where x86 is your processor type (intel or amd) and 64 stands for 64bit which refers to the OS (windows). That is probably what you will need. The rest of the numbers represent version, higher should be better. The other files are for other processors and OS architectures.

OMG Dude.. I am searching this thing for 5days. I also corrupt my windows 10 once for this reason by trying other methods and softwares. But finally this one is worked perfectly. Thanks a lot. One more thing if you wanna choose any different media player please don't go for mpv player, it's not so convenient for me. You can go for kmplayer, gom player. These can easily plays the 10-bit files.

This video saved me! Got the A7s iii and this was driving me nuts. Fellow KZbinr here... last question, how in the world do I prevent my camera from making multiple files for every clip? It is making an extracted audio file, as well as an XLM document for every clip after the MP4. Any help would be amazing if you knew how to just have it make the solo mp4 file. Thanks man!

Not sure about that extracted audio file, but the XLM document you’re referring to contains clip metadata that can be read by sony’s catalyst browse software

Solution: its not called “stable” anymore. It is now named “release” Click on the “release” folder and you can either download the newest version at the top or scroll down and download the same version that he downloaded on screen 👍 worked for me

Thanks for turotial. Works like a charm. To play in VLC, i have tried these settings and it works as well: In VLC Media Player: 1. Tools - Preferences - Input/Codecs - change "hardware-accelerated decoding to DISABLE" 2. Tools - Preferences - video - change "output to OpenGL Video Output"

There are new updates available, but all this info is still relevant and works! this was a great video, to the point and it actually works! Update: footage playback is choppy and unwatchable. It worked for awhile but not anymore and the problem is that there are not many tutorials on how to fix this out there. I get really bad playback in the Davinci Resolve Media library viewer as well.

This still works in late 2024! I just spent about 12 hours trying to fix what I thought was a laptop issue. Turns out it was just VLC. Whew! I've never been happy with the 'traffic cone' thumbnails and now I don't have to put up with them any more. Thanks Matt!

@@steveloudon7491 Hi, yes, I did and it works. And if I can do it, an over 60 digital immigrant, anybody can!! ;-) The interface on both sites look a little different. Just select that latest version of both. I downloaded and installed the latest MPV for my Windows 10 64b system. Then I downloaded the latest version of Ikaros. Then I carefully followed exactly what he showed. It took a while as he talks fast. It helps if you put on the CC subtitles so you can read what he is saying. I had to back the video up a number of times to make sure I had it right. But in the end, it worked exactly as he said it would. GIve it a try and lmk if it works for you. If not, I might be able to do a few screen shots for you. Best of luck!

But the files you need are still right there in plain sight ;-) Just look for the link with the same name structure that has the latest date on it that Matt suggests. Ignore the website design. That's all I did. I just checked it was the right website and the latest download file and, viola', it worked!
