ever since learning the blues scale my keyboard that’s sat there I’m now “shredding” the keyboard. The blues scale has literally brought new life to my playing. I now download backtracks just so I can jam along!! if there’s one thing I can do well is play lead now! C minor, D minor and E minor blues scales I know by heart!

Wow! The single word that comes to mind is LIBERATING! I feel like you are unlocking well-hidden, yet not too difficult secrets to playing the piano and sounding somewhat advanced, or at least not a beginner any longer. I look forward to trying this out when i've moved along a bit further in my studies. Thanks for this one !

Hey Lisa!!! That is so true. This. Is why digital pianos with a band and orchestra on them is great. The reason for this is that you are letting the band do their parts and you are focusing on the improv. Great lesson for beginners and they will understand because this is explained like it is supppose to bee explained. Great job on explaining. This. From. Your fellow musician and pianist I wanted to let you know that I had 3 gigs today and everyone was focused on everything that I was playing. I have a love theme for February. Making it romantic and love. As a matter of fact, I had people today at all 3 gigs in tears. The pianos. Were listening. To my orders. They were singing their. Golden beauties today. What great way to style myself at gigs today with a bright gleaming baby grand looking. At me to play it, and along side of me was a nice tall chilled glass of wine!! I. Had those pianos singing and their were sniffles going on as I produced the theme of love and Valentines day to my audiences today. Honestly when I got up off the bench I was. Told so many things about my work at the piano today pianos lol!!!! That everyone was so moved and by the end of the night tonight I could feel inside of me a joy that was so much and deep that I got off of my last piano and could. Feel the emotion of what I had just done. The. Fruits of my work today came back at me and I almost. Almost was tearing up myself. It was such a joyous day and a work day that ended strong. Now,,,, I am at home thinking about what I had done today and getting ready to go back to work tomorrow. It is so amazing that. People really admire us I think as pianists. They may not always say it in words but you can feel the joy and presents of something so strong. Makes me feel great that my work is enjoyed. And appriciated by many........ I. Think the joyous part for me today was hearing that I was able to bring in some great joy of tears to people today as I brought love. Songs remembering Valentines today. It was a post Valentines day show today. Actually 3 of them. Lol!!! I. Should say this. About my work day today. A few glasses of wine, 3 baby grand pianos, and people in tears. Falling in love again after valentines day...... Tell me what you think!!

When i first discovered piano, i don't even understand what they do, when i lowkey learning a bit i kinda get it, but still doesn't know, but now that i have a keyboard, and play quite a few songs, and hand independence, this seems like the most simple solo not I'd ever seen

Hi Lisa. Very nice video. Just a small question. When do you decide to play multiple notes or even chords in your left hand during the solo? And when you play 2 notes at the same time, do you play the notes a third, a fourth or a fifth apart?
