Great tutorial as well as all your tutorials! Very detailed and easy to grasp, love it! Can you make a tutorial on alzapua con golpe? I really have trouble finding the right finger to stabilize the alzapua and performing the golpe simultaneously. Keep up the great work. 🤙🏽
@DavidChiriboga
@DavidChiriboga 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! Appreciate it! I will try to do a separate video on that. I usually use the middle and ring to stabilize the hand position, by resting those fingers, from underneath on the high E string. That said, it moves on and off with the Alzapua and those same ones are the ones that would do golpe when necessary.

Love your videos. Just finished your the abanico video and now I'm watching this. Is it possible that may start a step by step course playlist for those who want to learn the art of flamenco but don't know where to start any soon?

Thanks for your feedback! Glad you’re enjoying. And yes, that would be a great idea. A little roadmap video on my recommendations for which techniques and videos to work and prioritize. I can do that and add it to my video ideas. On a side note, I’m actually about to launch an e-course next month with all this in mind, getting super detailed, prioritizing order and including pdf’s. Stay tuned for more info…😉

Excellent lesson! Except, your thumb can almost bend to a 90° angle and mine is a stiff as a rock. 😂
@DavidChiriboga
@DavidChiriboga 2 жыл бұрын
Lol 😝 Yes, I’ve been told. While that may help a bit, a stiffer thumb with less bend will still do the job. You just have to play a bit more with the thumb joint flexibility and also remember you can use your wrist more if needed.

i can play everything even picado and every other technique except for alzapua i found out about alzapua while practicing almoraima and its the only part that i cant play... i just dont get the hand position
@DavidChiriboga
@DavidChiriboga 6 ай бұрын
The Alzapua is definitely a unique technique. But don’t stress, you have to start ultra minimal with it to learn it. For form, point the thumb in more towards the guitar. Then I suggest to start with one string alzapua, as I believe I did in this video. Dominate that one string up and down pulgar motion first on each bass string individually, and then once that feels easier, then you move onto multiple string alzapua.
