i might be wrong, but the latter half of Dark Reefs summoning doesn't mention anything about the position of the normal water monsters summoned (only those that mention umi). You could summon them in attack on your turn along with mega fortress to start surprise attacking directly

Yes you can summon the normal monsters in attack position.

@@Roscoso Actually I think that spyral could be pretty good. With his mako support heavily supporting normal monsters, you could just summon a bunch of frostosaurus or gogiga / giga gagagigo and swing for game. Definitely could be done but yourun the risk of bricks, unless you go for megalo smasherX

I am running Legendary Fisherman and Leva dragon in my water dragon deck. I'd suggest adding Abyss Soldier. What's cool about this deck and Mais Harpie deck is that it really reminds me of duelist kingdom and how the fields interacted with the decks. Also Mako and Mai remind me of Pokemon Gym leaders.

You can't use fish sonar on warrior of atlantis. He searches legendary ocean not umi.

Can search electric jellyfish, summon it send a legendary ocean special summon kairyu-shin, kairyu-shin get sea stealth attack and off to the races!

It's cool how a few updated or revised old school cards with support + more old school cards can make a cool combo deck that has various ways of controlling the field and going in for a possible OTK. Makes me wonder if they will do the same to cards own by Rex Raptor, update old school dinosaur cards to be better versions. Like imagine a retrained Two-Headed King Rex monster with a modern touch to it.

during that last hand if you had sea reef in hand i would have 100 percent searched sea stealth so you could combo stealth off of reef to both summon 2+ monsters and re set your umi back on the field. usually kairyu shin into that combo is my go to win con.

Is Maiden necessary if Shin will just add a Umi anyway? Could replace her for Terrorking or something Also, if I were to add a White Night Dragon (my first and most special card I ever got) would it be a good boss/beatstick or just a brick?

I'd replace terrorking salmon with gogiga gagagigo and giga gagagigo Just cause gogiga gives you a beater that can beat over 3k beaters

Salmon is better cause you can normal summon it without tribute if you have Legendary Ocean up, so it's less of a dead draw. It's level also lines up with Kairyu so you can go into Rank 4s in a pinch.

@@machina5 if thats the case by about 50 atk points, giga gagagigo is still stronger than terrorking salmon. It's still a level 5 and still stronger. Plus with electric jellyfish you can still get gogiga gagagigo out if your hand. I just like it for the fact that if we have to go 2nd the deck still struggles to beat over most monsters.
