1:45 I spot an EPIC FAIL: If Player L drew the horizontal line between the two boxes, Player W would take the two boxes separately, and end up kicking off the next chain and being passed two boxes :(

I think the point of this video was to show us how to use the double cross strategy to win and the video waa just an example (Not necessarily perfect play by both players). Of course if L drew a horizontal line, there is no more option to use the double cross strategy

My strat involves putting atleast three two or one pointers around the edge, so I can make sure that I get them right where I want them. With more expirienced people, I try and hide one or two pointers with in the middle section.

The Trxilt game takes Dots and Boxes in a completely new direction: Dots are connected with lines. Game pieces are activated! Game pieces are worth 1 to 9 points. Points are scored when an active piece is used to capture another active piece(s). When each player has created 30 lines or when there are no more scoring opportunities the game ends. The player with the most points wins. Trxilt can be played five different ways!
