Perfectionist minds will struggle to see that as solution, because while 1 - 2 = -1 is obviously a correct mathematical answer, it requires "making" a space between the = and 1, which is not present on the original equation, thus is "two" moves not "one". This is not "thinking outside the box" solution but "bend the rules to fit one" kinda answer. Not my kind, just my 2 cents.

At 1:48, a second solution is to remove the bottom left stick of the 6 (making it a 5), flipping it horizontal and placing it in the middle of the 0 (making it an 8). This gives you 8-3=5. On the last one, just move the top right stick of the 3 over to the left to make it a 5, so you have 5+2=7.

In the thumbnail equation ( 1-2 = 7 ), turn the entire screen (or paper if you’ve written it down) so that it’s now upside down- it will say L = 2-1. Remove the horizontal stick on the L, and you’re left with 1 = 2-1. I believe that this is also an acceptable answer. I did that before watching the video, not realizing that there were more questions/ equations in it- I thought that it would only contain the answer, though I did wonder why it needed to be 3 1/2 minutes long for one answer 😆

First of all, the instructions did not tell us to turn the entire equation upside down. "Move only one stick to make the equation correct." Thus saying you believe this to be an acceptable answer is not correct. If you do that you are also moving all of the matchsticks, because turning the screen upside down moves everything on it,; therefore what you are saying to do is a cheat. Logic is on my side of this.
