Yo trick, I was wondering if you could make a Google drive of your main emuvr, like the one YOU normally use with all your ugc, posters and games. I haven't seen anyone share their actual EmuVR folder and by extension share their cool posters and rooms.

I’m subscribed. Some very helpful tips that everyone should know while navigating around in EmuVR. I always wondered how to use that windows games feature as well so thanks for making this video. Now I need a couple other videos :). Like how to make the handheld tiger electronics work, etc. The custom media setup for some things is tricky, and hard to just read about or get directions about it on discord. Videos are so helpful! This channel has been super helpful! I wanted to thank you for helping everyone get setup with EmuVR. Now I have the window capture working but i do not have 1600x1200 display resolution setting. I am also super confused how you minimize the emuvr at 4:21, yet keep the screen up? Any help would be very appreciated

Is there a way to make the "Capture" Cartridges Discs?

if you have the xbox 360 or any other modern ugc they usually just use disks the capture the screen also :)

When I did this, I have the capture cards but not the system to insert in, but I do have a lot of UGC would that be the problem, or would I need a different system to use them?

i have never seen that happen. its wierd that it has the carts but not the system. maybe try my pre made pack and see if it works like that and if it does att all your UGC and trial and error till it works i guess :)

Go to game scanner, the one that has the "Window Capture" core (the "media" should say "xbox", "xbox 360", "playstation 5" , etc, just any UGC system ig) that's the console it should work for, e.g: if media says playstation 5 or steam deck then the disc/cart should work for that console (cartridge for steam deck and disc for ps5)

@@ezola.d4169 sorry for late response, You don't need UGC at all since in the game scanner there is already a window capture media, I only used the UGC example because when you put a UGC console in 'media' (in the game scanner btw) the core automatically be 'window capture'. When you select 'window capture' in the 'media' drop down (the one in between your game folder and core) the core will be 'window capture'. Then follow along with trickster's guide. Hope this helps Edit: if you don't use a UGC console like the PS5 or steam deck then it will show up as the generic console, yk the one that shows up for the Gameboys and stuff since there is no official model for them

I tried to get windows capture to work with my original folder for a few days now it has over 200 ucg and I went through all of them to find the problem and when I removed the ps5 ucg it worked fine also dos CD wasn't working for me either in till I removed dvd cases and jewel case ucgs

Does this work with netplay if both people have the same application oh also im gonna be playing 360 games so if using a custom model for console is possible I would love it

How are you getting it to mirror other things mines stuck on emuvr?

If you're playing in VR mode then you have to tab out of EmuVR on your PC and boot up what you want to mirror while EmuVR runs in the background. (This is for 'example desktop' btw) If you're playing on desktop mode (1 monitor) you'll have to go into the 'games' folder and open whatever folder you selected for window capture, then open the 'example chrome' or 'example desktop' notepad file and change 'monitor1' to whatever the emulator you intend to mirror is called (keep in mind that if you're using an emulator then you will have to change it to whatever the actual game is called, you also wont have to write the entire name of the game, just part of it. Copy and paste one of the examples, change the name and rewrite.) If you have 2 monitors, where it says 'monitor1' in 'example desktop' replace it with 'monitor2' and put whatever emulator you want to mirror on said monitor. Hope this helps

@@maxerton sorry can you explain a little better the "one monitor" part please ? because I can start the capturing but when I switch back to emuvr I'm not controlling anymore the emulator but I'm controlling emuvr so the question is : "How I can see emuvr but control (like with the joypad) the app which I'm emulating ?"

@@GrahamAkerMasurao94 it depends on what game ur emulating, if the game doesn't require you to focus the window then you can control from EmuVR Edit: just remembered that you can alt+tab into EmuVR but don't click with your mouse as that will focus on EmuVR. That means you will see it on the TV and be able to control the game. (If the game doesn't require you to focus to play it, hope this helps :) Edit 2: Sometimes you can fix the problem by pressing 'A' (if you have Xbox) or X (if you have a PlayStation controller) to focus on the TV (spacebar if you're on the keyboard). That sometimes fixes the issue but if it doesn't, refer to the first edit

i downloaded the file in the comment section, and i did all the steps but i cant find the system or the capture cards. note: when i go to " game scanner" then go to "scan game for emuvr" the totall games scanned is 0

When you put a game into game scanner it gives you the option to remove it. That's the little X you see to the right of the game. There is also a square with 3 little lines. Press that and then press 'supported files' it will tell you a list of the support file types for that specific core (console). E.g: for PSP (PlayStation Portable) the supported files are .ISO .CSO ETC.

make sure you have bios in your systme folder inside retroarch folder

@@KaraKartal05 you probably don't have a working bios or you deleted a necessary file required for the bios, if the bios came in a .zip, .rar or .7z or something like that, extract everything into the bios folder and then test, hope this helps
