I just discovered emuvr a few days ago, and since then I've been obsessed with seeing other people's setups and playing it myself, making sure every little thing is perfect

Oh man I know the feeling! I've been on that train for 6 months. Lol. I posted another video on it a few weeks ago and just 2 DAYS after that, another update dropped on Christmas! If you join thier Discord, you now have access to user generated content!!! So the floodgates are open. Its been mad seeing more and more assets drop in there daily to use!

Yeah man I went crazy with all the customizations wanting to make it all perfect. It's so incredibly satisfying seeing it all come together as well. I tend to enjoy just watching old shows in the room. I've got videos of old live Nickelodeon programming from the early 90s I'll watch. I'm sure we'll eventually have custom assets and rooms that's going to take this to the next level.

omg this just made my day. I have an VR headset, but I didn't know this was possible! You know stuff like this makes me so excited to see what the future brings for VR. I mean think about it, a few more modifications to improve the immersion, a smaller headset that's practically weightless, and maybe even actual actual hands (gloves we can wear) with haptic feedback, and then THIS IS SOMETHING THAT"S GOING TO TAKE OFF LIKE CRAZY!!!
@imaginator85 Жыл бұрын
I KNOW RIGHT?? I mean, the Quest headsets hand tracking is already pretty impressive (especially after the recent update). We are inching ever closer to Ready Player One territory! Lol. Let me know if you need help getting it set up!
@TheRed02151 Жыл бұрын
my only complaint is the heavy headset can sometimes make you notice you're wearing it, but that's already being improved upon! And chips continue to get smaller and more efficient!.

This is super fun if like me you have a whole bunch of pc controllers for the various old school systems, I actually had to buy a 10 slot usb hub just for my controllers but it is so worth it for the immersion. Vagrant story brings back so many memories for me, such a classic.

I could buy those old Crts! If they had scanline, aperture grille or shadow mask like those crt-shaders on retroarch. I could buy controllers, steering wheels or lightguns to play the actual devices on it. Unfortunately no way to downscale or uspscale resolution. I' ve seen a Crt-based headset here in KZbin

WHERE DO I CONFIGURE CONTROLS IN EMUVR? My PS5 controller are using XBOX layout making it completley useless due to X (Cross Button on PS5) Button is B Button (Xbox Button on Xbox controller) and no matter how I change it just refuse to change in EMUVR because it forces its own shitty control layout....

how you add the image of the game in the carttrige? and also how you cutomize the room like the bed color?
@imaginator85 Жыл бұрын
All of the customizations can be found in the "custom" folder thats provided. Within that there are folders for the floor texture, bed texture, etc. You simply find the image you want to use online and then just save it over the top of the sample image in the folder. 🙂 Done!

Where can I find the games?
@imaginator85 Жыл бұрын
There are a ton of places online to download the game files (called ROMs). For legal reasons the creators of EmuVR don't host them on thier site. The older games like NES and SNES you can pretty much find with a simple google search (ex. 'NBA Jam SNES rom'). I have a buddy with a complete rom library but I got plenty from Google searching as well. 🙂 Let me know if you need more help!
@charlesdodimead565810 ай бұрын
He can't tell you at risk of the video being taken down. There is a whole ethical dilemma regarding "abandonware" and piracy. When Nintendo, Sega, and Sony realized there was still a market for retro games that's when you saw items like the NES Classic. Again, regardless of the ethical implications - ROMs are STILL considered to be the IP of the company that produced it, thus if he were to tell you it would be aiding and abetting in "piracy".

Look, I know you don't have the best PC and you reiterate that it's just a barebones machine used for internet and documents, but that's probably not completely true. You should let people know what the specs are. There are people out there that will hear you say that and try to use VR on a laptop with a Core i3 with integrated graphics and only 8G of ram and wonder why it doesn't work.
@imaginator8510 ай бұрын
Haha you're probably right! My brother who builds custom PCs made it so he probably future proofed it pretty well. I actually checked my specs for someone a bit ago. I should post them in the description.
