Surprised that the ships have so many structure points. Used to most skirmish games where you fail to hit or wound a lot but 1 or 2 hits often get things. Here looks like you hit often but takes a good accumulation of hits to sink their battleship.

This is the vid I looked forward to most! Is the minimum target, the base, the waterline or any part of the superstructure including that which would overhang the base? When firing "as she bares" is the target, the moving ship, the stationery ship, or both? In "crossing the tee" must both ships be absolutely perpendicular to each other, within three corners view of the base, or four corners view? Is the range measured from closet base point to closet base point it by some other means? I know that this is a lot to get through before the book is published but I really don't want my scurvy dogs angry over the new year. Thank you in advance, and fair winds.

The base The target in what regard? They don't have to be absolutely perpendicular, the graphic gives the best explanation really. Project the base of the ship being fired at toward the firing ship like a thick line, it needs to be entirely within the broadside corridor of the firing ship. Closest to closest.

Thank you for your quick reply. As I see it " firing as she bears" is an intrupt action, but who can fire?

So if you interrupt the opposing player's turn it has to be with a ship able to fire obviously, so the ship your opponent is moving has to move within the arc of fire of one of your ships, at which point you can fire when they finish a move step. So the interrupting ship is the one firing, and you fire one position, so a front arc, a broadside etc. with the penalty. Then your opponent completes their turn

To continue, if the moving ship overtakes the stationery ship( as in a street) can the moving ship pause its move to shoot and then f Finnish it's move. Potentially ships passing on the night donating gifts to eachother.

@@sa0r yes, 'fire as she bears' allows a ship to fire mid move at the -2 to hit penalty. So the activating ship can fire mid move, and the non-active ship can fire at the end of any enemy move step, not as they are moving
